Day 1 (Tuesday, January 23): Practical Work and Collaboration

Morning Session:

Arrival and coffee (8:30 AM - 9:00 AM)

Introduction and Ice-breaking (9:00 AM — 9:30 AM) ben van 't ende 

  • Welcome speech and overview of the agenda.
  • Ice-breaking activity to help team members get to know each other. 

Project Overview (9:30 AM — 10:30 AM) aliou.diaite@rte-france.com 

  • Presentation of OpenSCD and CoMPAS. Jean-Etienne LEMAIRE Davood Sooran 
  • Breakdown of project goals, current status, and challenges.
    • Write down what we want to achieve


Hands-on Work (10:30 AM — 12:30 PM) Pascal Wilbrink 

Probably in nerdroom

  • Teams dive into practical work on their respective projects.
    • Documentation Strategy
    • Involve people in new releases write down problems we currently face, combine for similar solution. 
  • Mentors available for guidance and support.
  • Periodic check-ins to assess progress and address any roadblocks.

Lunch Break (12:30 PM — 1:30 PM)

Afternoon Session:

Project Future  (1:30 PM — 2:30 PM)

  • Future plans of participants with OpenSCD - Alliander, RTE, Omicron, TransnetBW etc.


Collaborative Work and Knowledge Sharing (2:30 PM — 3:30 PM) Pascal Wilbrink 

  • Teams continue coding, testing, and collaborating on their projects.
  • Scheduled knowledge-sharing sessions: Each team presents progress, challenges faced, and proposed solutions to the other team. Pascal Wilbrink 
    •  Hands-on workshop on how we build plugins for OpenSCD using Lit. During this workshop we will create a plugin from scratch and setup a development workspace for faster prototyping. Pascal Wilbrink 
  • Q&A and feedback sessions for cross-pollination of ideas.

Networking and Team-building Activity (3:30 PM — 4:45 PM) ben van 't ende

  • Engaging team-building exercise to foster collaboration and communication.
  • Networking session for informal interactions among team members.

Day 2 (Wednesday, Jan 24): Future Direction and Culture

  • Feedback session for participants to share their thoughts on the event so far.

  • Teams resume work on their projects, incorporating feedback and making necessary refinements.

  • Mentors available for consultations and guidance.

Future Direction Open Discussion (2:30 PM — 3:30 PM) Sander Jansen 

  • Joint session to discuss the future direction of the open-source projects: Discuss roadmap
  • What potential features, improvements, and strategies. What is missing?
  • Setting short-term and long-term goals for the projects.


Presentation and Wrap-up (3:30 PM — 4:30 PM) ben van 't ende 

  • Each team presents their projects to the entire group.
  • Acknowledgment of achievements and certificates of participation distributed. ????? Do or not do

Closing (4:30 PM — 5:00 PM) ben van 't ende 

  • Final remarks from organizers, expressing gratitude to participants and sponsors.
  • Networking opportunities and exchange of contact information for continued collaboration.
  • Farewell and safe travels to all participants.
