The Open Smart Grid Platform goes international! For the first time the GXF platofrm has been implemented outside The Netherlands. In the city of Heinsberg in Germany, Alliander AG, the local operator of energy grids and public lighting, installed a proof of concept for Smart Public Lighting. Smart Public Lighting is a web application for switching and monitoring street lamps. The same application will be rolled out in The Netherlands later this year. Smart Society Services has reconfigurated and installed the device that now switches the public lighting of the Alliander parking space. In July, the solution will be rolled out in a neighboring town. Enabling switching and monitoring the entire public lighting system independently of the local electricity grid operator.
