The LF Energy Governing Board is the primary decision-making body for LF Energy. Per the charter, the board consists of the following voting members:

• representatives from each Strategic member
• a representative from among the General members
• a representative from the Technical Advisory Council (generally the TAC chair)

The Board is responsible for overseeing the direction of the project, guiding the Executive Director and other staff, deciding on financial issues, and approving new projects coming into - or being created within - LF Energy.
